Join us at the Museum for a creative evening with Art of Nature artist Calene Luzco Fletcher in this sip and paint style workshop focused on fish illustration!
We’ll begin with a short overview of fish and how they have been represented in scientific guidebooks, with a look at the role illustration plays in documenting aquatic life. From there, we’ll explore basic fish external anatomy to support accurate and confident drawing.
Participants will sketch their own fish studies from observation. Calene will lead instruction in watercolor techniques, demonstrating how to add color, texture, and depth to your drawings.
This workshop is suitable for all experience levels, whether you are new to drawing or looking to practice your watercolor skills in a guided setting.
All materials will be provided. Participants are also welcome to bring their own sketchbooks, journals, or watercolor supplies if they prefer.
