
Giant Pacific Octopus Painting Party!

Celebrate National Fossil Month with a deep dive into the science and art of the ocean’s most massive mollusk—the Giant Pacific Octopus!
Led by a professional scientific illustrator and naturalist, this hands-on workshop blends marine biology with creative expression. Begin with an engaging scientific presentation on Giant Pacific Octopuses, then transition into the art studio to create your own octopus-inspired masterpiece.
Using professional exhibit materials as reference, participants will paint their own 3D-printed octopus model with acrylics—combining artistic flair with anatomical accuracy. Perfect for aspiring artists, marine biologists, and cephalopod enthusiasts of all ages!

No prior experience required. Participants will have a completed art piece to take home at the conclusion of the workshop. Open to ages 16+/all experience levels. All supplies included.
