

Join us for a hands-on, in-person workshop in partnership with the Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History.
This training is required for new participating teachers, grades 6th-12th.
REGISTER
Attendees will:
- Receive a 5-lesson curriculum aligned with NGSS and Common Core
- Get hands-on training in Pacific mole crab data collection and analysis → includes a classroom dissection lab and post-field trip reporting
- Learn the logistics of coordinating a field science program
- Gain experience using real scientific tools and protocols
- Receive a $100 stipend upon completion
By participating in LiMPETS, students will:
- Conduct community science that contributes to a 20+ year coastal data set used by researchers and policymakers
- Explore coastal habitats, climate change, and human impacts
- Build a stronger connection to place and learn how to protect local ecosystems
