
Fossil Photography of Capitola’s Cliffs

Celebrate National Fossil Week with the Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History!
Guided by an expert nature photographer, this open-air workshop will lead you on a guided fossil walk to find photographic inspiration hidden in prehistoric cliffs. In addition to photographing geology and landscapes, participants will learn tips on photographic composition, color theory, seasonal lighting, camera techniques, framing your fossilized subjects, and honing in on your creative eye while out in nature.

Materials Fee: Participants must bring their own cameras or smartphones. All other supplies are included in the class fee.
Class Fee: $43 – Museum Members receive a special discounted price applied at checkout.
FYI: This class takes place outside. Dress weather-appropriate for the outdoors.
