What is the Downtown Field Station?
The Downtown Field Station at 1339 Pacific Avenue, Santa Cruz Ca 95060 is our new temporary Museum location while our beloved Seabright home goes under a restorative transformation. It will host a Museum Store alongside exhibits and rotating displays of local natural history and art.
We hope to open retail this winter. Grand opening of retail and exhibits will be in spring 2027.
No! We will open with no admission fee. Donations are encouraged.

We will recreate some of our most iconic exhibits, and reinterpret many of the amazing specimens from our collections. This space will be an opportunity to test out new concepts for the future permanent exhibits.
