

LiMPETS (Long-term Monitoring Program and Experiential Training for Students) is a community science program that takes students to coastal ecosystems of California’s national marine sanctuaries, increasing awareness and stewardship of these critical habitats.
You Will Get:
- A 5-unit curriculum aligned with NGSS and Common Core
- Hands-on training on all aspects of intertidal field science
- Tools and staffing support for facilitating student community science and related research posters and community action projects
- A $100 stipend
Your Students Will:
- Get outside!
- Participate in community science and data analysis
- Contribute to a 20+ year study
- Connect to and learn about coastal ecosystems, climate change and positive actions we can take to protect our communities
- Rocky Intertidal Monitoring Teacher Workshop
