Learn about the impacts made by these partners throughout the County and our shared collaborative histories over the years. \nAs a special treat\, there will be a storytime with internationally acclaimed children’s book author\, Taylor Lahey. To spotlight the Museum’s commitment to environmental education for all ages\, Taylor will be reading his book about youth-driven environmental activism which shows anyone\, no matter the age\, can make a positive impact in the world! \nPLUS\, this wouldn’t be a party without a FREE dessert station from Freedom Bakery! We’ll have a sweets bar for the kiddos and an open bar for the adults. Taught through step-by-step instruction by a master scientific illustrator\, this class will begin with a nature walk to introduce you to the local flora and fauna. Apply your observations to hue\, composition\, shadow and light techniques\, color theory\, mixing media\, building layers\, creating a palette\, and more. This class is perfect for aspiring artists or creative naturalists with no prior experience\, only a passion for arts and sciences. \nREGISTER\nParticipants will have a completed art piece to take home at the conclusion of the workshop.
