DESCRIPTION:Every third Saturday of the month\, we invite volunteers to come together as a community to steward Tyrrell Park through the City’s Adopt-A-Park program. During this volunteering event\, you’ll get your hands dirty assisting with the maintenance of the park\, our pollinator garden\, and Pilkington Creek\, while gaining insights into local ecology\, native plants\, and sustainable gardening from Museum Gardener\, Laura Kummerer. \nSaturdays in the Soil happen every third Saturday of the month. \n​Sign up via Volgistics or email volunteer@santacruzmuseum.org to register.\nWhat to Expect \n\nThis project requires volunteer support with general landscaping\, occasional watering\, weeding\, and replanting.\nPlease let us know if you need special accommodations when you email to RSVP.\nThis program happens rain or shine\, but we will cancel in the case of muddy conditions or inclement weather.\nAll ages are welcome; children under 14 require adult supervision.
