DESCRIPTION:LiMPETS (Long-term Monitoring Program and Experiential Training for Students) is a community science program that takes students to coastal ecosystems of California’s national marine sanctuaries\, increasing awareness and stewardship of these critical habitats.\nYou Will Get: \n\nA 5-unit curriculum aligned with NGSS and Common Core\nHands-on training on all aspects of intertidal field science\nTools and staffing support for facilitating student community science and related research posters and community action projects\nA $100 stipend\n\nYour Students Will: \n\nGet outside!\nParticipate in community science and data analysis\nContribute to a 20+ year study\nConnect to and learn about coastal ecosystems\, climate change and positive actions we can take to protect our communities\nRocky Intertidal Monitoring Teacher Workshop\n\nREGISTER\nFOR: High school – college teachers\nWHEN: Saturday\, 1/17/26\, 10:00 AM-4:45 PM\nWHERE: The Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History
