The Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Under the guidance of its Board of Directors, the Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History operates in support of its Mission: Connecting People with Nature and Science to Inspire Stewardship of the Natural World.

The Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History has been connecting people to the wonders of the natural world for over 100 years. Through our extraordinary location, interactive displays, engaging programs, and special collections, the Museum highlights the region’s diverse natural history, from the shores of the Monterey Bay to the summit of the Santa Cruz Mountains.

Development Manager

Building upon a rich history, strong programs and partnerships, broad community support, a dedicated Board, and committed staff team, the Development Manager stewards our donor and foundation network, and collaborates with the Executive Director to expand and execute funding strategies that allow us to connect donors to the tangible difference their contributions are making locally. Summer Camp Instructor

Under the supervision of the Education Specialists, Summer Camp Instructors are responsible for co-facilitating the Museum’s week-long summer day camp programs for students entereing grades K-6. This is a temporary full-time (40 hours per week) position for 8 weeks (June 10 – August 1, 2025). This position will work closely with a team of instructors to prepare for and teach seven weeks of camp. Each week of camp will serve a different group of students and will focus on a range of natural history, art, and science topics. Summer Camp Instructors will work with the Museum staff, interns, and volunteers to create a fun, safe, and educational experience for everyone. Learn more here.
